This website isn’t about balanced views. The clue is in the title. M Daley hasn’t really worked this out has he? I think if you end up on here, with heaps of bad press… on balance you’re probably crap.

I asked Walsh to produce several mirrors cut to a precise size, polished and rounded edges, with drilled holes. And… they did it perfectly, called me when it was ready to ensure someone was at home, and delivered them at precisely the time they said they would. Rather a boring story, but a website with this name is likely to atract people who want to be critical (one called “weretheygoodornot.com” would at least be even-handed) and some balance seems fair. I came across this website when I wanted their phone number and so since other people might do so for the same reason, it seems reasonable that Walsh’s get a fair hearing. I have no complaints; quite the opposite.

After having double glazing fitted by they fitters. They put wood around the inside and never sealed the windows up. Also the wood around the inside was skirting board. They came back to replace all the wood and when wood taken off inside the windows were loose. Also fitted dormer window and left a gapping big hole on the flat roof under the plastic where lots of rain got in and flooded me out. Ruined my ceiling.

They all need to be sent on a customer service course…a long one. It’s like they want to pick an argument when you call. The transcript of MG above sounds very familiar.
I’m still waiting for my DG units. When they arrive, even if they are perfect I won’t use Walsh again.

I got in touch with them about the work, they came and redid it and now I’m very happy for what I got for the money. So at least they respond to customer feedback and respond well. I think a lot more of them and I didn’t have to argue to get them to revise their work

I had Walsh’s come round to work on my sash windows: work on 3 boxed windows that had become too narrow for their frames, replace sash cords, imbalances to be sorted, refitt beading. God they did such an appalling job it beggars belief. They did not have a copy of the quote whenever I pointed out things on the quote they had not done they said well it’s not on our quote which was a scrap of paper with the price on it. They left two windows with the same problems they were supposed to fix, created problems on one window which they were supposed to fix on another, they cut up and busted beading and art of the frame on one window. While they did spend a reasonable amount of time in my house, one was semi-competent and the other a total buffoon. Don’t let these guys touch your victorian sash windows.

Walsh replaced a window pane for me. They arrived promptly and did a great job. The whole thing was only £60 all in.

I’m guessing many of their problems mentioned here and elsewhere on the web are due to a lack of scheduling technology. Everything would appear to be tracked using paper chits, which could dissapear, not get passed from person to person, errors made when copying information by hand etc…

Thank goodness, I’m glad someone else is angered by the ‘no food or drink’ policy at Cineworld. I wouldn’t mind if the confectionary they sold was reasonably priced or if they even sold sandwiches, but unless I want to fill my stomach with overpriced crap I have to wait until after the film to eat.

Here’s a tip (which makes me feel a bit like a drug smuggler). Take a largish back and hide your food under a tshirt the same colour as the inside of your bag. As long as there is still plenty of room above the tshirt you should get away with it without a problem. As you say, the staff are predominantly dopey.

the hexagons are no where near as good as the tubes.. my childhood memories have been taken away now the tubes have gone.
we used to collect the lids and try and spell out our names.. though i never found a ‘y’..
now i cant fire lids at joseph henderson :’(
its all SO sad..
They are so hard to open as well then they rip as you try and get the last ones out the bottom!!
i reckon that we should start a petition against the hexagonal boxes cos they SUCK! xD
